Does anybody know the hex offset...

I was wondering if anyone knew the hex offset for rear gear ratio in $6E or if it even has such a calibration. I am trying to nail down a problem and if I can check this and make sure its right, i can dismiss/fix it and move on.

Re: Does anybody know the hex offset...

It runs like a scalded dog when I start it up and run it for the first time. Then after it sits a bit and i start it up and drive home, I get surging and loss of power especially noticeable on hills. I'm thinking either its the KS or there should be a calibration for rear gear size.

Hmm, try these settings in your tables. Keep in mind that most of the tables I put together do require some tuning. It's not exactly plug & play but close enough to get you running well.

Re: Does anybody know the hex offset...

Thanks for the tables. I believe they are already set at that. I have a feeling its one little thing that needs set. I am going to check the tables right now. What formula did you use to convert the MAF tables over to the Ford voltage readings? Its one thing i could not uncover while searching the forums. From what I have experienced, without this issue, the car runs stronger than it ever has. I spent alot of time looking at the datalogs trying to pinpoint the culprit. The problem only seems to crop up after the car has been run for the first time then shut down and allowed to sit. It will start and idle just fine then when i hit the highway speeds it starts acting like a pig.

Re: Does anybody know the hex offset...

Well I started out with what ford had in their tables and wasn't getting very good results so I figured it must have been a fluke of my induction but from what you've told me in the pm this is actually much closer to what the tbird maf is actually measuring even though you have a very different induction. The method is to datalog steady state at various airflows in 5 g/sec increments and adjust what's in the maf tables by dividing the current blm at that airflow by 128 and multiplying that airflow by the product, then smoothly blend the curve. This gets you very close after 3-4 sessions.
