injector not firing

Ok so I just started playing with tuning with my ebl. let the car idle for a little bit, idled around 750 which is where I had it set with the ebl. Made some adjustments in a few tables, flashed a new bin into the ecm and car began to run like crap and died. I tried to flash another bin into the ecm with no change. Checked the injectors while the car idles and found that one injector was not firing. I switched the injector pods to see if it was the injector itself, no dice, it is not the injector. I am wondering if there was a change that I made that would cause one injector not to fire. Oh the injector will fire when i increase throttle but cuts out when it drops down to idle.

Re: injector not firing

Any chance you set or used a BIN that has the port option flag enabled?

Also check the pin/terminal/wire at the ECM. I've found some harnesses where the heavy teflon insulated wire to run all the way to the ECM. This can cause the pin/terminal to loose tension which results in intermittent injector firing.

Re: injector not firing

I orignally used the ebl_F_PT bin and tried a few adjustments like the SA main table and the SA launch mode. AFter I flashed the ecm it ran bad and wanted to die and then tried to reflash it with the stock EBL_F_PT bin but I didnt notice any changes. I tested the injector connector and it has good voltage. I am pretty sure i messed with something in the ebl which caused my problem because when i first started it up it ran and idled fine. maybe i can send you the bin i messed with and you will see the problem?

Re: injector not firing

Does the EBL Flash ECM have the Port Mod installed? If not then can't set the Port option, which the base EBL_F_PT BIN will have set.

Re: injector not firing

I did not purchase the port mod from you, so If I do not have that option then the PT bin wont work for me, correct. I also tried to flash the stock TBI bin, but it didnt seem to make any change in the car when it was flashed.

Disregard, i re flashed the tbi bin and it took and the injectors are firing again. thanx for you help.
