27SF512 with G3 and EX remote

Hi Guys

Sorry if this has been covered already but I can't find it

What I have is the following
Moates G3 adapter
Ex remote
Chip extender 1.0

I'm running a 27SF512 in the extender
Does anyone know what the jumper settings are to allow me to stack 4 bins on the chip?
I have the option for 2 bins from the Moates site has anyone used 4?

The whole steup is in a 34 Ford hotrod (Oooohhh!!!! I know it's a dirty word) and the ECM is tucked up behind the dash that's why I have the extender because it's really hard to get it

Thanks in advance

Richard

What code are you using?

With some codes you can only have 2 different bins on a 27SF512.

I'm using ARAP 6E

I can stack 4 bins successfully on the chip
It's just the settings on the G3 i need to understand should it be in the 29FO40 setting?

No, you would need to be using a 29F040 EEPROM then.

You may have to call/e-mail Craig to find out. I have only seen mention of using two bins on a 27SF512, except for using in a C3 style ECM ('7747, etc.), which uses 4 KB bins.

For the hardware jumper, YES you would need to use the F40 setting.
You would be able to get 16 programs on there.
Load all of them to the high side of the bank area (done automatically IIRC)
Use the bin stacker in TP.
16Kb bin size, 512 chip size with 32K block size.
You must load a file into all positions in the stacker for it to work.
Should work fine.
