I'm just looking to read codes and the BLM and other minor things. What is cheap, simple, and user friendly out there?

got a laptop?

buy a USB aldl cable and download some free software(even tunerpro RT is free to use, but you should pay the $30 after you figure out how to use it and if you like it)

thats the cheapest way to read BLM's and codes

Codes by themselves on the other hand, either a paper clip, or get what i have, Autozone has "GM code Keys", which literally is a key with a 2 prong end, works perfect
