This cant be good
I just finished My first Datalog, and it doesn't look good. I know the motor probably has a vacuum leak and other issues that need to be adressed before I get into modifying the bin and whatnot, but I figured since I have all the stuff id do a log just to see were its at. I attached the Knock table from the log. I did about a 17 min drive, mostly highway, with some stop and go in the parking lot. I recorded 257 knock counts in one cell!! Could this be a mistake? This car has always made a diesel engine type noise low rpm while taking off. What would cause this?
I also included the log file just incase anybody cares to give any input. Maybe confirm the suspected vacuum leak.

Re: This cant be good
The first thing is to get the vacuum leak fixed. Second is to figure out is the knock is real or false. This is important as it then defines the direction required to fix it.
If false it will hurt performance and mileage. And no amount of higher octane fuel or pulling of timing will cure it. The first quick check is to pull the plugs and look for pepper specks. If none, then the knock is false.
In this case now need to find out why. Exhaust rattle, bad bearing in accessory, tensioner bad, loose bolt(s) on a bracket and so on will cause false knock.
