Of what value is then knowing the BPW?

I understand "pulse width".

I thought BPW = BPC. Apparently I am wrong. I believe some mask's use BPW and others dont per my search. BPC is shown in RBobs formula recently posted and that I used to manually calc constant when I first needed years back.

My calculator allows calc of BPW. Not constant.

My BPC vs VAC constant(s) shows same as manual calc so i am OK there.

The problem with BPW (base pulse width) is that it can mean different things. It was being used instead of the proper BPC (base pulse constant). It is also being used for the calculated injector PW prior to the compensations being done.

And sometimes BPW is used when referring to the total injector PW.

So it can be confusing with BPW without knowing the context of it's use. I try not to use BPW because it is a vague term.

As for BPC, which was hardly ever mentioned years ago, is the proper term for the constant derived from the ratio of injector flow rate to engine displacement.
