tuning for peak hp with 95% humidity outside and raining?

So this guy is telling me that it doesnt matter how much humidity is in the air and that he can still get the same hp and make it run just as good in the rain and humidity as he can on a nice sunny day, is this true?

In theory, the ECM should be able to compensate for such conditions.

True, that's what all the feedback is for.

But bottom line is humidity does change the tune. every racetrack in the world you will always here how weather affects the bottom line.

Re: tuning for peak hp with 95% humidity outside and raining?

You can tune for the air fuel ratio that makes max power, but that max power will be only for those conditions that day. A car tuned in 80 deg heat for max power wont always make the same max power in 50 deg cold air. The air density is less so less power is being made. ECM can compensate fueling to hit a targeted air fuel value in a variety of conditions but doesnt translate into max capable power of the motor. Its just max power for the current weather conditions.

The feedbacks are capable of temp, baro, for some density corrections but I do not know how you could compensate for water content in the air using what is available for measurements.
Hmmm...

We measure "water grains" to quantify the o2 displacement of humidity.
