pocket programmer 2 (old style)

I just pulled mine off the shelf after several years and to my surprise it will not work! WTF.... rebooted and checked connections oh i would honestly say 10 times or more.. a/c adapter is working. no damage to my cable yet I get device not found message and where it says expected... it says found 88 in all the rows

is this what I get for keeping it in a box on the shelf? so worse case it needs fixing due to a static charge or some B.S. 35bux plus shipping? nope wrong they now charge 100.00 plus shipping per the site

any tips? BTW no go on another computer to test with cant find a dinosaur that uses a parallel port anymore

Re: pocket programmer 2 (old style)

I'll one up yah...I have a Pocket Programmer 1 sitting on the shelf. I don't know if it still works. Been eyeballing it to burn a flash prom to put in my 165 ecm as a 'fall back' if my speed density swap ever goes completely buns up. Good Luck!

I know that Moates sells a burner for like 75 bucks. I'd rather buy that than sink any more money into the old Pocket programmer.

Good to know if mine won't recognize it. I bought my PP1 back in like 99 or so.
