TTS Datamaster dynometer?

TTS Datamaster dynometer?

How accurate is this software's dynometer? Here is a run i got in fourth gear. Correct transmission gear ratio for fourth gear was chosen and i chose a vehicle weight of 3500 lbs. Although most of our cars weigh a lot less than that. My car is a bolt-on L98 with stock block and heads.

How many logs did you do before you were able to get that? I tried with 2 min. and all I got was a blank grid, and the box said I had 0 hp and 0 tq at 800 rpm. which I know is BS, because this 5400lb beast moves as good if not better than a current model Burb!

send me your datalog in a zip file. I will check it out for you. Also what transmission? and what gear were you in at WOT? finally, what is your rear end gear ratio?

From a dead stop, but i eased into it smoothly, 1st gear and let it shift. I dont have a way to zip files, but I think I can e-mail them individually. I did input all of the info it asked for. I figured that my frontal area is about 40 sq ft, drag Ce maybe around .45

You can probably leave the aerodynamic stuff blank. What is important is the actual gear ratio of the transmission gear you are in at the time of WOT. Like on my 700r4 trans in fourth gear is 1.1.

a 700 is 0.70:1 in forth gear

ok, I figured it out. I had recors 1 and 2 in( i was thinking of the 2 log files) instead of 1 to 5036.
215 hp and 265 TQ, but it sure feels good on my seat of the pants dyno!

That IS what i entered for fourth gear. I may have said it backwards. Third is 1.1

I only see a spot for 1 gear ratio... I based it on my first gear of 3.06. If i do it based on 0.70, it says I have an 800 hp engine.....i dont think so.
Aren`t dyno pulls based on 1st gear anyways?

No, no, no, There are 2 spots . One for rear end gear ratio and the other for transmission.

It's pretty simple ,just enter the info in the settings. I would just record a small area of the run where i hit WOT. Then press log data on the dynometer after you stop recording the run. I checked mine 3 times for consistent results,but still unsure of the hp and torque figures.
