LT 1 programming questions

I know its not 3rd gen, but I have a few friends that have lt1 vettes that want me to help them, and I am looking forward to doing it also. The cars are a 93 lt1 vette, and a 67 with the complete 92 lt1 (engine, computer etc). Anyone know if winbin has an ecu file available??I couldnt locate 1 on gm-ecm (it may be there, but i couldnt find it, damn big site.lol) If winbin wont support it, what is another good editor?ive never used tunercat, so if anyone does and can give it a good thumbs up?? Also, anyone know of any freeware scanning software??? I am thinking of getting the tts datamaster, any reports on that???. To answer your thoughts, I'm not charging them for the help, just doing it to help out and to get the experience.
Thanks
Bob

It is a nice way to learn. Sorry I can't help with the rest of your post as I use TunerCat and Diacom.

NO, I don't like TunerCat....I love TunerCat.

I have my own Source Code and I can easily make changes. But when I want to do a "quick test" or change, I generally make the change with TunerCat first and when I am happy with the change, I adjust my Source Code accordingly.

But as for TunerCat the company, I also have to give these guys "two thumbs up". First, after you buy the program ($69), each different TDF (the definition for each calibration) is only $20 more. TunerCat is very pro-active with their updates (they've made over 20 since I first bought TunerCat's $8D TDF) and it's for a "lifetime".

Second, they are VERY receptive to requests. If you know of a constant or table that you feel will help you with tuning OR if you want to know if there is a table or constant that will do a particular change, TunerCat will investigate it and update the TDF accordingly.

Lastly, they are constantly looking at ALL GM ECMs and willing to consider other ECMs to include as a TDF. A number of the V6 F-body users were wishing for a TDF for their V6s so they could use TunerCat. I sent TunerCat an e-mail suggesting this at the beginning of July and they NOW have a "beta version" available for testing. TunerCat has authorized me to find appropriate individuals with eprom burning knowledge and access to the equipment and V6 car to test this "beta" TDF.

You couldn't get me to use WinBin if it were free. Wait a second, it is free.

Cool
Thanks alot. Its great to see there are still companies interested in their customers, not just the customers wallets. I may get tunercat for my iroc as well. Currently using winbin, and see how good it is. I have seen a few tables in my $32 ecu file that id like in my $6e. There is a pulsewidth vs lv8 correction in 32 that would be great for adding/removing fuel anywhere a person wanted. Wonder if they can incorporate it into the 6e def file???? Thanks again

Both TunerCat and LT1_Edit allow you to tune LT1 PCMs.

My new beta software version should do the 93 LT1 stuff, but no one has tested it out yet. If someone would PLEASE DO SO, it would be much appreciated.
