Swap 700r4 for T5 any PROM changes required?
Hello all
I have a '90 5.7 that I swapped out the auto for a T5 a while back. Ever since then I have been experiencing tip in issues (hesitation in throttle response) and recently been wondering if there is something needs to be done with re-programming the system for a T5?
The chip in there now is the original for the 700r4 automatic. It mostly runs well but consistently has issues at tip in. Also when decel down a hill say in 4th gear, it oftenresults in bucking and shaking like the engine is stalling/starting. Very unpleasant. Rule out mechanical driveline -- I have replaced or upgraded everything. When I did the swap I thought there were no mods required to the ECM or PROM, curious if I am mistaken?
thx

It may be deacceleration enleanment kicking in. Increase fuel in low map areas, During DE you should be OL. Add a little fuel in OL tables.
