burn 27c512 with burn2

the 27c512 will not burn with flash and burn even though the option is present after blank cheek. the program just crashes but it will read/burn it right as a 27sf512 chip. if any one has any objections chime in. I have uved and burnt the same chip 3 time with no issues. this is from a 7427

The 27C512 isn't supported. From Craig's site:

"USB Chip Programmer works with the AT29C256, 27SF512, and AM29F040 chips."

Which are all Flash chips. Now unless Craig has updated the Burn2 programmer and hasn't updated his site...

If it burns it ok, then just run with it. The worst that will happen is that it will kill the chip after a while.

Id still consider it worthwhile to get the flash chips as you dont have to UV erase them. I recall those only taking like 20 seconds to re-program on my PP-II.
