Re: faultcode

Code 86 2 -> 3 Shift Solenoid Stuck On

Don't know if this is the problem or not, but I remember reading somewhere where some of the PCM's didn't have all of the board components necessary to run a 4L80-E. Was your 8625 originally used with a 4L80-E? Just though I would through that out there. I would look for other possibilities before changing the PCM.

Re: faultcode

I believe the aftermarket tranny companies offer a stand alone controller to allow use of that E tranny. Maybe Summit or Jegs as well?

Re: faultcode

The car is running fine shift smooth in all gears, only when i hit the trottle in one time to the floor the car died for a few second and then it's going full power but won't come out of second gear.

When i drive normal it shift very smooth in al gears.

I use the BHDR bin and the $OE xdf

Re: faultcode

I made a stupid mistake, a few day's ago i chanche my AE vs MAP table and AE vs TPS.

Now for some reason i forget to double the 80 MAP value all other value's i doubled. that was the reason that the car died when i hit the trottle

I use the smokey yunick intake (SY-1) and i learned that it needs lots of AE

Still don't no what the connection is between dieing car and bad shifting but everything works ok now and no check engine anymore.

Thanks for helping me out whit the code 86

Regards, Sjaak

Re: faultcode

yunick intake (SY-1)
Quite a bit of plenum volume and intake volume. "Wall wetting" is the term. Much of the fuel comes off the walls of intake. Crack the throttle and VAC decreases and atomized fuel no longer exists. Needs that wet wall to help prevent enleanment.
