1994 LT1 TunerPro EE.ADX
1994 LT1 TunerPro EE.ADX
Has anyone got the EE.ADX to work in TunerPro V5? I can get connected and sometimes read what looks to be realistic data, but it jumps, then back, repeat.
Mark at TunerPro added some Macros and silence commands but still the same. Macros and silence commands are way out of my league... just wondering if anyone has got this to work?
I tried the Datamaster trial and it works so running it through my AutoProm set to Bypass is not the issue.
Sure would like to stick with one program I am used to and can customize the ADX and dashbords etc.. to my liking...

hope this works, it wont let me attach the adx directly so i uploaded to a file sharing site. its ee.adx w a pause <macro> it has a gauge package also. it should let you do all the data logging without the breaks and pauses in the data stream.

Sweet! Thanks! Maybe I can compare it to old one to learn somthing.
I also did some gauges and history tables for one if you want it? Added a bunch of comments to the EE.XDF.
Link in my signature to upload and store anything EFI related...

Well I tried it and no glitch!
But data is all wrong...
So I tried old ADX that glitched, but sometimes had correct data... it had wrong data and no glitch... so I downloaded a fresh EEAuto.ADX from tunerpro and it to has incorrect data... and no glitch...
I opened up DataMaster and all data workes fine...
Did all this through the AutoProm set to pass through which I thought was an issue, but with regular cable the same?
So I don't know what to think now?

One last try for anyone who may have info why I can't get this to work? There is no other OBDI system I can not get to work with TunerPro. I even learned how to write an ads file from the ALDL.ds file
It has got to be something to do with this PCM being the in between OBDI and OBDII. Actually the ALDL.ds file has some OBDII error codes and OBDII history secondary to the OBDI stuff. Some call it an OBDI.5?
It has said to have worked on Corvette and Camaro 1994 and 1995. The Corvette had an issue with CCM needing to be silenced but was fixed long ago.
I just looked at some wiring diagrams for my B car and they are identical to F car, there is a SIR (Air Bag) and EBSM (Anti lock Brakes?) tied into the serial data line which I silenced still the same.
I even found the address for CCM 0xF0 which my car does not have but Y cars do..., HVAC 0xEA may be tied into mine, ABS or EBCM 0xF9 and SDMA or SIR 0xFA are in wiring diagrams for F car and disabled them in mode 8 so I only get data fro 0xF4 from Connection Macro.
I got some help from Mark at TunerPro and added a pause but that didn't help either...
The only thing I can think of is it used to work with a serial cable? All I have now is USB, but no problems on other 8192 BAUD serial data on pin M...
Has anyone got it to work on an 94-95 LT1?

So what did you do to get it to work?
Also, I made a change to that screen to invert the O2 value so all the needles track in the same direction. (I like it better than opposing directions) give it a try and add the cell # too.

Are you the author of that dashboard? I have a few I do not know authors of. If so I will note you in the adx. I do not like to take credit for others work!
I have a collection of dashboards I install in an ADX I am working on, paste them in, in Notepad/EditPad then rightclick and set values when open in TP. Saves tons of time.
It took a few things in Commands, one on my car was to silence the HVAC 0xEA. Then I remembered the guy above said add a pause and I looked at it and it was 20mc pause, adding a 20mc pause to all the macros solved it. Would connect one out of five times, then add a pause to macro and one out of three then add another pause to another macro and one out of two. When I added a pause to each macro it connects first shot every time.
Same with connecting to Mode 1 Message 1 for transmission.
Same with Mode 10 to clear codes, works great.
I found an old thread about digatal dash tied into serial data line that Mark at TP built in the original, I was wondering what 0xFO was for? It has the silence CCM that Corvette needed I found the ALDL.ds for it and added it even though my car does not have it. Still works so should work on Corvette.
Still need a Camaro to test on? Looking for a B body without climate control (HVAC) to test on
There is also a EBCM (ABS) and SIR (Air Bag) line tied into serial data line I had also silenced, but in reading the ALDL.ds for them it is the PCM that needs to be silenced to make them work. So I took those out and it still works solid as a rock every time!
100 hours later I have a totally rebuilt ADX. History tables, Monitors, dashboards and data tracing with the XDF I have been working on with it!

Only 100 hours?
There's always more to do.That particular layout was one I played with the sweep gauges making all the fuel items in a line. It gives a real nice view of how the corrections play together. Going to add that section into the side of my everyday dash. The rest was just concept ideas.
I've been grabbing all the dash defs I can find to and modifying them and borrowing design ideas.
Need to still verify my mode 10 is working also.
Merry Christmas!
Re: 1994 LT1 TunerPro EE.ADX
That was only 100 hour estimate... plus learning time.... plus now I have most items needed set up for data tracing...
My Mode 10 clears codes!
I set one purposely, then used mode 10, clicked connect and it went away, then did weird things and I disconnected. Connected back to engine data and the code was gone.
There is a setting at bottom I have not figured out or tested but I think this would do the trick after connecting mode 10 to clear codes. Break on Success or Break on failure, instead of clicking connect button then disconnect.

That's the same thing mine does (but code is gone)
Had to exit and come back to get the other connect macro to run again.
You may be onto something there.
LMK if that works when you try it out.

Yup, code is gone when I connect, but then weird, all codes come on till I disconnect. Connect engine data and all codes clear.
I think it is that box, break on success... and fail...
