ECM Test Cable
Has anyone built a cable/software to replace an ecm bench for testing custom code? I'm considering doing this through the printer port and trying my hand at writing a program to monitor I/O so you can maipulate inputs via software. May be a bigger bite than I can handle right now though. Ideas?

Re: ECM Test Cable
I want to get away from the physical ***** & such so I can run simulations of drive cycles & other stuff. Just fantasizing right now though. Can a jimstim do that?

Sorta, there is a PC interface that, from what I remember it will run the RPM through a cycle.

Re: ECM Test Cable
I did some stuff that worked well.
The RPM with optical setting worked well but the magnetic needed to have a zero crossing.

What are you guys doing for o2 signal? Signal generators work great for everything else but I would imagine o2 would be difficult... unelss you just feed it a constant stoich signal so it doesn't do anything. Anybody doing anything adjustable so you can upset the pid loop and test out o2 code changes?

Re: ECM Test Cable
The JimStim has a dial for the O2, which is just a resistor changing the voltage from 0 to 1 volt, or 0 to 5 volt, depending on where the jumper is.
