No Comm - ALDLcable & TunerProRT or WinALDL
89 L98... with the aldlcable.com OBD1 12 pin to USB cable.
WinXP laptop. Receiving strings of same characters on COM4 visible in hyperterminal with Key on engine off. Device manager and hyperterminal set to 9600 bps.
In TP I'm set to COM4 but getting yellow DA Not Connected at bottom of screen, no data.
Would use WinALDL but no comm there either on Comm4. But in WinALDL I can choose baud but not sure what that should be?
Any help with either would be great thx!

'89 should require a 10K ohm resistor across terminals A and B of the ALDL connector. Some people report they can remove the resistor once data is flowing.
