Is the TMS 2532 the correct eprom blank to burn one for the 1228079 ECM?

Re: TMS 2532 Prom

Not exactly, although it may work as the pin out is different then the 2732 EPROM. The reason I say this is that the 2732 EPROM can be used in place of the stock PROM by moving some of the pins around via an adapter.

The stock '8079 PROM is 1K x 8, while the two mentioned here are 4K x 8.

I looked for the 1K x 8 PROM pin out but can't find it. It is also a one time device.

Re: TMS 2532 Prom

A follow up. If you have a stash of the TMS2532 EPROMs you may be in luck. The data sheet for it states "pin compatible with existing ROMs and EPROMs (8K, 16K, 32K, 64K)."

The 8K ROM is what is used in the '8079 ECM.

Re: TMS 2532 Prom

Thank you, what about TMS2708JL that have been erased? It seems that there are people out there that can burn these, but just don't have the blanks. I'd like to get a couple burned for my recent crate 350/ 300 hp install. One with EGR and one with it deleted.
