How to slow down my IAC steps corrections EBL

I see dead band at 15.5 RPMs

IAC Min Steps. I am at 1 step.

Would these apply:

IAC Idle high delays large 400msec small 400
low " large 200 small 600

Idle Gain Breakpoints low mph 37.5 high mph 50

Would these be applcable if so which way to move them?

Opening the deadband is helpful in preventing the IAC from hunting. This is more so on a modified engine. Going to 25 or even 37.5 RPM can help.

The idle gain breakpoints are OK.

However, your idle low and idle high delays are somewhat backwards. Should always respond more quickly when the idle is low. And be slower to bring the idle speed down.

Increasing the high idle delay will likely be best to slow IAC response.

Note that the idle SA compensation affects this whole mess.

My settings are same as stock EBL.bin(L03 auto)? I never changed EBL.bin. Kept it virgin. Honest.

OK. I raised the High Delay to 600(large) and 1000(low). I moved the Low to 400(large) and 800 (high). So doing that will delay the response for both high and low idle conditions.

Idle SA high and comp was previously reduced to min of .35.

Idle high and low map is unchanged. Should I have dropped that as well?

I really cant say I have a problen so to speak. Car runs pretty darn good with no hickups.

When I am at a stop sign I will look over at WU and I see zero steps.

7.4L TBI(with corresponding IAC passageway), 350 cid, 224/230 .05 114 LSA, idle 15 lbs FP VAFPR 75 lbs injs, idle commanded I recall at 725 rpms, 1.7 to 1.8 PW (cycling occasionally). I will see the idle drop and the stall save kicks in at 650 and steps go to 5, RPM returns to 725 and cycle repeats. No big deal but I think I could benefit with IAC cycle at half speed.

What is causing the idle RPM to drop?

IAC steps of 0 means the IAC is closed and can't bring the idle down any further.

That is a VG question. I will datalog the event. I see your point.

Not sure if this is reason but the 7.4L TBI butterfies are almost closed to the max. I believe no TB gasket leaks as the gasket is a new Delco and matches the TB base perfectly. PW is 1.7/1.8 "synch".

It may that the 725 is with the 2-6 iac steps and when the IAC closes RPM drops to the stall saver 650 rpms. I may have misstated that. Again, I will look at logs.
