current moded chip to ebl flash p4?
hi I have a 1990 trans am with the 7730 ecm, current mods are 383 eagle rot assembly, hsr intake, tfs g1 heads, mild cam(540-550 lift 245-250 duration) 10.5-1 comp, 30lb accel injectors.
motor was built already when I got it and a burnt chip was made for it.
car runs pretty good but its a tad rich.
has run 11.41@118 in the 1/4.
recently I purchased the ebl flash p4, my following question is there a way I can read the tune on the current chip and save it as a current bin in the tuner pro to have something really close to start with.
how do I go about this.
or do I just pick from one of the closest tunes that come with the software and start from scratch?
thanks

With the mod's your engine has it would be better to start with some data from the tuned BIN. Need to either get the BIN from the person that did the tune, or find someone that can read the chip for you.

Download Tunerpro. Sellect the appropriate xdf file and you should be able to read the .bin. When you understand the values you need to use a specific EBL.bin that was provided to you with EBL and modify it to those values.

Build your starter EBL bin importing the timing table, ve, and all the other stuff. You'll still need to go over it but it will be closer.
So you bought this at an auction? Didn't come with a binder with information, or even sharpie note on the ECM ?

Yeah. Download the tune, look at it against the $8D definition file. Make sure the values look sane.

how do I read the bin on my old burnt chip?
I don't have a chip reader, I manage to to install the ebl p4 and used bin3000 vortec headed 5.7
it fired up but run really rich and wont idle...im gonna work on this tune and get working but I still want to get my old bin from my old chip in my memcal as that tune was pretty good.
