COMP CAMS 08-407-8 on a TBI L05 - advices ?
Got my setup running, L05 with stock swirl port heads but with ligther valves, beehive springs and full roller rockers (1.5).
old OEM cam -------Vs. ------- New cam COMP CAMS 08-407-8
lift 0.350 / 0.385 (int / exh) ------ 0.472 / 0.480
Duration 179 / 195° --------------200 / 206°
I have an EBL FLASH and trying to set the SA Tables (and VE tables of course)
However I am a newbie at this and have no idea how to do it practically.
Do I put more advance on all points in the SA table and observe KNOCK ? When it knocks then decrease the SA until those points show no to little knock counts ??
Any other advises for this CAM on this engine ?
Thanks

I would start with stock LO3 bin. Yes you could increase SA and watch for KC's. and then back off.
However the best way is on a dyno while monitoring A/F and HP.
