OK
I have a Moates APU1. I have been monitoring and datalogging getting used to the system. I am still unclear about several things but I am getting better.
For starters I am not totally sure in emulate, if I make a change live like remove EGR, does it actually do anything live or do I have to burn a chip first. Hard to tell (I have not made an real changes live yet) Any ideas something to verify I am reading/writing live in emulate?
I think I have correctly download my bin using memcal and use the 32$b def file to read and play with it in emulate. I like to go ahead and disable egr,AIR, VATS, cold start and burn to a chip so I have a good start to rip that crap out.
then tune with a wideband just driving around to dial the timing and A/f a little bit for better start and drivability.
SO my question:
I think I use tunepro to tune the bin the way I want, then use APU1 not connected to car and burn to the c2 chip. then just plug in the new chip to the g1 header? then if I need to I can remove and reflash and reburn again?
I have a G1 adapater and 2x c2 SST27sf12 chips
from Moates. Are these rewritable?

Oh and the other question is the address. I have played with the chip load from Memcal but it ask for the address start/stop
What is the address start stop for the c2? for the stock 165 chip?

If using a 27SF512 in place of the stock 27C128 your start offset would be 00C000 and it will end at 00FFFF. If your program is only looking for 5 digits drop the leading zero.Originally Posted by jjcuff1

Cool thanks. The stock 27C128 is what the stock chip is for the 165 ECM and memcal, correct?
What software should I use to burn/reflash? Just tunerpro?

and here is a chart/ explination for the chip offset thingy
