No VSS effect tuning?

I just finally getting somewhere with my tune. idle and cold start and MAF-1-2 for $6e 305 tpi seem to sound good no knock retard idle solid 600-2000 rpm cruising around.

BLM cold and some voltage effects with lights on/off are around 125-128 idle and cruise at 600-900 in lv8 60-112. I am at BLM around 128-131 up to 2600rpm

no PE yet. I can add/subtract fuel now with MAF tweaks and the BLM graph seems solid it sits flat at 126 unless I step on gas and it then makes jump lean in 131 range then when off gas sits solid back to the 126-128 range

so idle and base fuel is good but lean on gas and it sounds lean. I have pulled some timing where it has knocked and it helped but still getting .2-.5 degree knock on heavy loads

I realized my VSS is not recording so my car has no speed. Will this effect the AE or PE or closed loop? I am wondering if I am tuning all cruise and therefore at higher rpm and load with no speed I am not adding fuel?

also I realized my new fuel pump is whining, whole fuel system is new. at idle I go from 42 then sits at 34psi (not 38) and makes sense I am running lean and compensating with more fuel but it is whining the whole time I checked the evap and under load the pressure goes up to the 40psi range.

so is VSS effecting tune? slightly lower fuel throw things off that I can tune out?

Re: No VSS effect tuning?

Think of it this way, if the ECM doesn't know the car is moving, how can it adjust for load?

Re: No VSS effect tuning?

Lol yes simple answer yes it will effect something for sure
But closed loop is load from rpm and maf and tps all work and seem to respond

MPH just is for tcc shouldn't effect tune that much?
