Multi port EBL not vacuum referenced?
Multi port EBL not vacuum referenced?
Just got back to putzing around with the car after a hiatus. Was setting things up and noticed when I used the EBL utility it doesnt offer for a vacuum reference for the BPC constants. Was just curious as to why this is. Thanks for the replies in advance...

Re: Multi port EBL not vacuum referenced?
A MPFI system with a FPR and return line is vacuumed referenced. That is the fuel pressure varies with manifold pressure. The reason for this is to maintain the same pressure differential between the inlet and the outlet of the injector.
That way the injector flow rate remains the same as the manifold pressure changes.
This is completely opposite of a VRFPR on a TBI setup.
RBob.

Re: Multi port EBL not vacuum referenced?
Just figured since the fuel pressure drops to about 35 PSI at idle, and the BPC is dependent on the fuel pressure, that it would change the BPC but no problem. This is with a stealth ram and professional products rails and regulator. Thanks for the explanation.
