EBL in open loop-VE learn- check my logic please
Ok I'm running open loop with EBL so there's no ecm O2 sensor based adjustment.
In the morning when it's cooler and engine temps are on the lower end (say 89-92C) a wide band based VE learn wants to pull fuel- engine running rich.
With the same tune (not the velearned tune) in the afternoon when warmer (CT 95-100) the ve learn wants to add fuel, engine running lean.
I'm thinking that my IAT/CT blend table is too far toward the IAT, % low. I believe I need to raise the value to be more bias toward the coolant temp so less adjustment is being made. ??
Now the last part is the slope. How do I know or is it just going to take a point by point at different temps/loads/gmsec? Currently I have a fairly flat slope, 60 @ 0, 25 @ 255. Should I raise the whole table or just the gmsec encountered when cruising?
Any thoughts will help. This has been one area of challenge for me.

I've always set up my Wide Band VE learns to only make corrections when the motor is fully warmed up. Then adjust the cts vs. afr table to get all other cts temps in line.

To be exact on the temps, during cruise the CT/IAT=blended values are...
Morning 90/18=49
Evening 95/29=58
So about a 10-11 degree temp difference in the blended value. Is this enough to make a fueling change?
