What EEPROM is better for a 1992 305 firebird?
Hi everyone! I have a 1992 3.1 V6 Firebird and I am going to programming my PROM, one of my friends is using this:
Atmel AT29C256

But I have read in this forum that the appropriate one for the 92 V6 191 is the 27C256:

I have the opportunity to get first ones cheaper than second ones.....
What would you do?

The AT27C256R is a OTP device. OTP being One Time Programmable. After that it gets tossed and another one programmed.
The '92 3.1l Firebird ECM does use the '256 kb PROMs. It is about 191 CI in displacement.
