Stupid LC1 on the fritz

I started my car after letting it sit for a couple months and now the LC1 is turning into a pain in the ****. It will run fine for a few minutes then the afr will stick at 22:1 or 7:1, and sometimes randomly unfreeze then lock up again. Once in awhile it will act like a narrowband and flip between the extremes. I've never had a problem till now. The sensor is new, I've done recalibration several times, power is from the fuel pump relay and it's grounded right behind the passenger kick panel. Ideas?

Ground it WITH the ECM connections, preferably directly to the engine.

Re: Stupid LC1 on the fritz

Mine worked great for a long time and now it reads 10 or 20 and nothing between...

Any quick solutions before I try to re calibrate it or replace it?

Re: Stupid LC1 on the fritz

The batteries on my ostrich recently died, got it about the same time. Anybody know if there is a battery in this unit? Firmware programming memory or something? I'm about to try the recalibration and see if that does anything.

Re: Stupid LC1 on the fritz

Recalibrated mine and now all good.

I noticed in the instructions that it says not to tap any other power source so maybe try putting it on it's own relay and see if that does it? Mine pulls power off pos going to the ECM even thought it says not to. Worked for me nearly 8 years no issues til now.

Good luck!
