just a newbie wanting to learn a few things

I was a carb guy and judging from my other posts you guys can see I am takaing the plunge into the wonderful world of F.I..

I have a couple Q's involving burning your own chips. I like doing things myself that is why I want to be able to fine tune my own car. Is a laptop needed to burn your own chips? Can you guys throw me a list as to what I will need to gather up in order to do this?

I am running a 92 camaro computer if I got all this software what would I need to burn chips for my friends 88 IROC?

Honestly was it hard to do your first time?

Can you direct me to someone websites where I can purchase these things?

Thanks alot for help and help in the future
