730 ecm code file
Hello,
I wish to do some testing and have scored a junkyard 730 ECM, But its from a V6 car. I do have some experience with PROM burning from waaaay back, Have some burning hardware.
Can a V8 TPI file be burned into the Prom ?, and where might I find such a file....
I realise I will probably have to yank the stock prom from its socket and replace it with a Eprom part.

Re: 730 ecm code file
Most likely the PROM is a 256 kb unit. Which is the same size as used for the TPI BINs.
To avoid removing the stock PROM (it is soldered in) use a Moates G1 adapter.
To use the V6 MEMCAL need to ground pin 56. This is the cylinder select hardware setup for the ECM.
