Speedometer calibration using the prom on 730 ecm?

I'm getting ready to burn my first prom and was wondering if there is any way to recalibrate the speedometer through the prom. I did a search and found this thread . Traxion posted a link of a guy that did it with a 730 ecm but the link isn't valid anymore. Does anyone know if this is even possible? In Tunercat there is a road speed constant given in pulses/mile but I believe that is only to tell the ecm the correct speed and isn't directly related to the speedometer. By the way I'm using the pos Cyberdyne box right now and can't stand it. If I can't calibrate the speedometer in the prom, I'll have to go out and buy the Dakota Digital box that I've heard so much about. Thanks in advance for any help.

Attached is a text copy of the article in question. Hopefully Dave won't mind me posting his work.

Anything like this in the 165? For some reason I seem to remember the signal going to the speedo and ECM separately/parallel. But if there's something in there, it'd same me the troublesome speedo-gear swap...
