Why is my car idleing in blm cell 4?

Shoudnt it idle in cell 0? It seems to idle rich 108blm and 110 or so intergrator. But the upper cells at least the ones ive seen are close to 128, IM having someone else to the chip. The cars pulls good at wot throttle but at part throttle it seems to surge while accelerating. At times You can really feel there is alot of power there. It doenst seem to go thru all the cells at part throttle while accelerating jumps from 4, to 7, to 11,ect. Is this normal? IM havent gotten the stuff to burn proms yet IM still giving the guy doing the chip a chance to get it right. He has brought the car along way from what it ran with the stock chip.

The car is a 90 IROC with TPI....

IIRC block 4 is the idle block, dont know why. seem to recall asking the same question & that was the answer I got. I have found on mine that my motor spends a LOT of time in block 4.

Yeah....you would think it would idle in cell 0 or 1. I wonder if idle vacuum has something to do with what cell it idles in? Or if cell 4 is the same for everyone with a SD computer. Seems like I remember someone saying there car idled in cell o. still learning....

Page down to (stuck block learn) thread from LETHALRACER. There are some posts there on this subject. Basicly you are too rich at idle. Cell 4 is the idle cell but BLM108 is to rich. Have your tuner pull a lot of fuel out of your Volumetric Efficiency table. Mine did that too. T.P.I.Spec leaned it out and now it runs 128-130 in neutral and 116 or so in drive. I also just found a leaking injector so that was part of my problem. What cam do you have? Idle vacuum is what it is all about with SD cars. I loose about an inch and a half or so of vacuum going from park to drive hense the richening of the BLM. At 108 your computer is trying to pull fuel out of the car to compinsate for the rich condition. 128 is perfect. Check your O2 sesor also. I am not an expert but I know what you are going through. I had the same problem.
