Can you burn your own custom tune with the Jet 6-pack chip or do then use a single use chip? If not is there anything like the 6-pack that I can self tune? I have a mostly stock 305 TPI, however I do have a Zex nitrous system Installed and would love to be able to switch between just 2 separate tunes on the fly, so I can take advantage of timing advance when tooling around town and then switch to a retarded tune when I want to play with some nitrous.

I forget what chip is in the 6 pak but you can replace it and use it as a binary switcher.

 

Thanks Tuned Performance, I am brand new certified virgin with self tuning. I just want to learn as much as I can before I start purchasing equipment so I don't waist money buying unnecessary hardware. I have a hypertech chip I can use as an adapter from what I read but the G3 looks like the best fit for what I want . Have you ever used the G3 with the EX setup? If so can you actually change tunes while driving or do you have it key on engine off, the articel on Moates does not really specify.

 

I don’t know if you can change tunes on the fly or not. You can send moates a email.
They also make a 2 timer that will work with 2 tunes. To differentiate the two you could set idle higher on one to identify it.

 

I’m assuming you can switch the bins engine running.
