7-Pin Module Help

I currently have a 4-pin HEI distributor.

I want to convert to a 7-pin module so I can get a clean square wave RPM signal for my Fitech Meanstreet.

Research says that pins C and A on the Weatherpack plug need to be jumped together for the distributor to work. These pins correspond to pins B and E on the module per the diagram I found.

What does jumpering these pins together do electronically to make the distributor function without the EST module?

If I jumper these pins, can I still get a square wave signal from pin R?

Also, will the distributor still function normally as if it still had the 4-pin module?

Just to clarify, I want to retain the original mechanical and vacuum advance. I am just looking for a clean square wave RPM signal for the Fitech ECM. This particular Fitech is not capable of timing control.

Re: 7-Pin Module Help

Just use the coil negative. That is the RPM signal.
