Repinning -165 for EBL

I'm finally getting around to installing my Dynamic EFI EBL with Port Mod into my '86 Corvette. I've got the MAP wired in place of the MAF. I just need to know what needs to be re-pinned to convert from my old -165 ECM to the EBL -747 ECM. I've searched to high heaven trying to find this tidbit of information, I can't find it. I can find pin changes for early '84 and '85 cars, but not the '86-'89 years. I don't believe I got it with my EBL.Does anybody have their old Dynamic instructions kicking around? I'd really like to finish up the wiring this weekend. But getting to the ECM on an early C4 is not most fun, I 'd really like do only do this once.

Shameless self promotion picture.

I seem to recall a pretty detailed "instruction" for the repinning but no clue where that ended up all these years later. You could possibly go off of the ECM Pin Out found in the EBL Information link found in the computer files folder?

Re: Repinning -165 for EBL

Thanks to both of you that responded. Yeah I looked at both of those "Connection Drawing" and "Full ECM Pin Out". If I sit down long enough with the FSM I might be able figure out which pins need to be moved. My (well grounded) fear is I'll miss something or screw it up and be chasing my tail well into the next year. I'm surprised a copy of the installation instructions wasn't loaded on the CD. I've tried to get hold of Rbob, to no avail. Hope he's doing alright.

I've attempted to get in touch with RBob this week myself with no luck. Hoping its just a vacation or something and nothing serious. Does anyone close with him have a better contact method besides email that they could maybe reach out to him and check in?

Re: Repinning -165 for EBL

RBob sent me a PM today (WOO HOOO!) Of course, with the info I needed. So I'm posting it here for posterity to find:

Dan,

Here is the short version of what is required to re-pin the '86 -'89 TPI MAF cars to the EBL:

1) Lift pins: A2 (BRN), C2 (BLK/PNK), C15 (DRK GRN), D10 (BLK/WHT), D11 (DRK BLU), D12 (BLK). Fold back into harness and protect.

2) Move pin C1 to C2, Fan (DRK GRN/WHT)

3) Move pin C8 to C7, Hi-Gear (DRK GRN or LT BLU) Note: C7 may have a wire, if so remove and fold back into harness

4) Move pin D15 to D14, Inj 1,3,5,7 (LT BLUE or BLK/PNK)

5) Move pin B12 to C11, MAP signal (DRK GRN)

6) Wire in MAP sensor, pins on sensor:

A: GND - use MAF sensor wire from pin B (BLK or BLK/PNK)
B: Signal - use MAF sensor wire from pin C (DRK GRN)
C: 5V REF - wire to TPS pin C wire (GRY), also found
at ECM pin C14 (GRY).

7) Insert comm pigtail into:

Green to D10
Red to D11
Black to D12

Regards,

BobR.

Glad you heard back from him and thanks for posting that up. I am sure it will help someone down the line. I have not heard anything back from him as of yet.
