What's the difference between these two? One has a description and other doesn't. I tried swinging them around to different values, but by seat of the pants and WB, it's not clear what theyre actually doing.
Man, does DA2/DA3 have all these stupid little factors and lag filters and stuff going on behind the scenes? The xdf files don't have them that I can see..
I can't believe what a labyrinth of constants and tables 8D is with regards to AE. In some ways its good to have high fidelity, but in other ways it's kinda ridiculous...
AE-MAP, SCALED MAP A/D Lag Filter Coefficient 0x57C
Used to Lag Filter 0x0071=SCALED MAP A/D which is used for determining if AE-MAP is to be invoked.
Factory Default = 0.023 (2.3%)
When I search on 0x0071 in Tunerpro, I don't get any hits...
MAP Sensor Param, A/D Lag Filter Coefficient 0x6DC
Any time both AE-TPS and AE-MAP are active, Final PW is reduced by a coolant based limiting factor based on TPS%. When >= this number of DRPs has been counted since the invocation of AE-TPS, Final PW will be reduced. When < this number, the Final PW reduction will be less than above. Increasing this value will provide larger Final PW when both AE-TPS and AE-MAP are active. Factory Default = 1 DRP
So this one I figured out... I seems like a poison pill that GM put in... lol...
If you're in AE TPS and AE MAP simultaneously, it'll cut back on AE TPS? Seriously?
I have my AE TPS lasting for 8 DRPs, so I set this to 10 (just some number higher than 8) that way AE TPS is already over before this other parameter tries to reduce it.
This one I could definitely feel seat of the pants... on slower application of throttle (as opposed to stabbing the throttle), it definitely pulls harder during the throttle movement. Feels like I picked up 5-10 ftlb.
Again, not sure why GM does this $h!t on 8D, making AE so freaking complicated. Wonder how many people ditched the 7730 for aftermarket ECMs because of stuff like this
There was something similar on this where with this constant where GM (for some odd reason) has AE being reduced for some unknown reason.
8D is set to 3 (as you can see on AXCN, which is an 8D Vette). I had set it to 0 when I figured out what this parameter actually does. . Basically in the tables below, this will sometimes have the AE TPS come in at line 3 rather than 1. In 8D, you get a huge reduction in AE TPS pump shot (instead of getting the max of 4 at line 1, you only get 0.5 at line 3).
In DA3, if it came in at line 3, you'd essentially get 0. Which makes me wonder whether DA3 has all these stupid little hidden scalars and stuff that are not in the XDF.
