Preview of Moates Software Update, need feedback...
Folks,
Please take a look at this plotting format. Couldn't sleep, so here's what I came up with:
http://ice.prohosting.com/moates/zips/plotting.exe
Please let me know your thoughts. It's about as good as I can come up with in one sitting. Maybe some add-ons:
- Allow toggling of individual variables on-the-fly,
- Have provisions so you can choose what variables are shown,
- Allow color selection,
- Allow for saving configurations (maybe multiples),
- Allow for on-the-fly realtime data plotting,
- Allow for pull-up-a-file data analysis.
Of course, it'll plot with date/time on the xaxis. Maybe it could show the max/min of the y-axis for each variable, I don't know. It's kind of limited on the quantity of data that can be looked at in one sitting also, maybe 2000 points in time, which could be as short as 4 minutes. We'll see, I can probably pull some tricks out.
Getting there? Please provide input and other ideas.
Now I can catch some Z's...

I'm a little confused as too what I'm actually looking at. Can someone give an example or explain this a little better. Thanks!

Sorry,
This is a plotting routine I'll be adding to my software to allow users to plot up data either historically or real-time, with variable scaling and scrolling. Up to 12 variables at once.
The plots shown in the example program here were just generated with random number paths. The real deal will access the ECM data and/or your CSV files.
Make more sense now?

Looks great to me. Just couple it with the other tweaks (when you have time) and I look forward to the updated version of the program...
