I will have no VSS or EGR and I am rnning a 92 Z28 computer. Will I need these in order to function with no SES light?

You can get away with no EGR (assuming Off Road)

But you really need the VSS. The IAC works hand and hand with it, and you can have a miserable time trying to work around it. It's just a whole lot easier to hook up a VSS then work around it.

well here's the scoop: I got an 83 Z28. I got the Painless harness for a 92 SD. I do have a T-56 in there and plan on going with a Autometer electronic speedo in the near future. Does the VSS only have to do with the IAC when the car is idling?

No it also acts a throttle follower, anti stall device, idle speed control.

So as long as I get one of those conversions for the T-56 signal I should be able to hook it up to the T-56 right?
