ok.. I made the cable and tested it out.. works great! the only thing is I didn't put a 10k resistor across a&b and it still seems to work.. any benefit from putting the 10k?

the resistor will put the car in field service mode..you dont want that.

If it works without it - Great!
Some ECM's need that 10k resistor to start sending the data and some don't.
