ok think i'm about ready to burn

hey guys, i soon will be putting a TPI setup on my carbed car, it will be a 1988 MAF setup with the 165 ECM, it is modified and i'm wondering what bin to start with.

i have S/R torquer 305 Heads
a crane 2032 roller cam
Headers, 3" cat back, gutted cat
and i have no emissions hooked up

the TPI has 19lb/hr injectors as it came off a 305 and i will be adding an AFPR

any suggestions appreciated.

Start with the '89 ARAP($6E) bin. Get you BLMs in order and then start working on your timing table. The timing table will be to much to start with so you will have to spend some time on it. When you get the timing table down you will have found a lot more power and throttle responce. It is very time consuming but worth the effort. once you get your BLMs and timing close you can move on to other things, but those two things will keep you busy for a while.

BLM is block Learn multiplier
It is Long term fuel trim. Values range from 0-255, 128 is perfect +/- 5 is where you want to be. The range of 0-128 and 128-255 are equal to 100% add or subtract fuel. High numbers add fuel due to a lean condition; low numbers subtract due to a rich condition.

You need to get a scan tool and learn how to use it well. This is your communication device with the ecm.If you know how to use one before you start burning it will help.I had my scan tool for a year before I started to burn.
