Anyone ever hear of AFKY?

My '88 GTA has 22 #/hr. injectors (based on part number) and the ECM is 1227165 and the chip is marked AFKY 2436.

Can anyone tell me which motor/trans this originally came with, or any other info about this combination? The car originally had a 305/5-spd but supposedly this was swapped for a 350 CID. I've searched everywhere I could think of and can't find out anything about this combination.

thanks very much,

Frank

Thank you very much! That was a brain fart, not a typo: I went and rechecked and I had just written the BCC down incorrectly. Worst part was that I almost did it again! And thanks for the link. I was trying to find the .bin for this and can't see it on that site. I'm getting interested in programming and would like to look at the code. Am I doing something else wrong, as well?

The rest of the info you show matches up with what I know from the SPI label. I double-checked the injector # (5235302) and that's supposed to be for a 350. If there really WAS an engine swap this puppy would be running real rich with the original PROM, wouldn't it? It pulls pretty well down low, but runs out of steam pretty much above 3500 rpm, so maybe it really is too rich. I thought it was just typical TPI. Guess I'll have to start yanking plugs. I wish there was a block number!

I AM PSYCHED!

I couldn't see the casting numbers near the firewall either, so I checked out a cylinder head number. 14101083 - 350!

If my understanding of MAF cars is correct, unless the EPROM has been modified (I doubt it) the ECM thinks this has 19 #/hr injectors and would be feeding too much fuel. Should be lots of programming opportunities here. I'm starting to accumulate scanning cables and plan to order chip burning paraphenalia soon. I'm going to Daytona for bike week and (weather permitting) should be able to get the car out of storage soon after that. I can't wait!
