29C256 Question

When using 29C256 I have never seen a erase option. Does this chip completely reprogram every time its burned? Is there anything special I need to know to burn to this chip? I have a 1227730 ecm. Using the "1227730 8d.ecu" and the "aujp1350.ecu" Thanks for helping a newbie!

I dont know about different eeprom burners, but I know with the power programmer 2, I just burn over whatever is there. It just overwrites whats on there, no erase needed.

The eeprom is broken into 64 byte sectors. If you want to program at least one byte in a sector, then you have to program the whole sector. If you program the entire '730 bin then you won't have any problems.
