I went to www.xtronics.com and ordered the Pocket Programmer. Took 3 days to get here (Arizona, US). Then I got Tunercat for bin editing software and I got spare chips from Craig Moates.

If you are really from Bahrain, you are going to have a great amount of difficulty in getting vendors to send things to you, sad to say.
The problem is the cost of shipping and the incredible amount of time it takes to get there. I was going to help someone who was in Germany a while back and the cost of shipping was so outrageous the guy thought I was trying to rip him off.
Shipping between Canada and the US is bad enough and we Canadians often bitch about that. I can't even imagine how expensive it must be for people in Bahrain. I guess you need to own an oil well to be able to afford any American Muscle.

You better get over here and see how American cars are all over the place, I own an 88 IROC-Z and I'm a previous owner or a 92 RS and I didn't ever had a problem of finding parts for my car, I get my performance parts from Summit Racing and it cost a bit and I get the parts in one week.
We have lots of 4th gen F-BODIES in Bahrain and some C5's :hail:

Unfortunately, Summit doesn't handle eprom burning equipment.
Well go to www.xtronics.com and see what they can do for you. You may also find that you have do some "searching" but Europe may be an alternate source for the burner itself.
The Flash Proms (AT29C256s) shouldn't be too hard and much prefered over eproms anyway. You may have to do a minimum shipment of a "dozen or so" but trust me, once your buddies see what's going on, they will all want one.
As for the TunerCat software, that is no problem as you only need a credit card to pay via PayPal and then you just download the software.
If you haven't read Tim's Prom Burning Intro, I highly recommend it.

Unfortunately, I live in Canada, so even if I wanted to help - the shipping costs from Canada to anywhere (except the US) is just too expensive. They charge by "weigh/volume" where if they can't screw you by the weight, then they screw you by the volume. The cheapest tends to be Canada Post but it takes forever. And the few courier companies that do operate in Canada (UPS, FedEx and Purolator) are expensive as hell.
Sorry, I've investigated this before for a few guys and it's just damn ridiculous from Canada.
