what are the effects of disabling CCP?

I'm trying to tune my BLMs and I'm having the hardest time. I disabled my EGR, and drove around for an hour to get a good bit of data. I've noticed that whenever the CCP duty cycle is more than 0, I go pig rich.

I know that disabling the EGR can cause detonation (I've noticed a slight increase in retard when running lean in OD), but is there a problem with disabling CCP?

Setting the 'Canister Purge - Map Enable' in the 730 8D too high got me stuck in cell 4 (idle cell) and took me all day to figure out what was wrong. I made too many changes at one time so I went back a few burns and started again.

Look in the anth_hac.pdf on page 39 and you'll see a reference to it. I don't understand it all yet but I'm looking up issues as they come up.

L8522 FCB 51 FORCE IDLE CELL LRN IF CCP DC LT 51

I probably was thinking along the lines you were. If I disable things I'm not using that the ECM adjusts for I'd get a better calibration. For now, I just put it back where it was.

Oh, there are other constants in the bin that can do the same thing but I didn't try them.

I edited my BIN with WinHex to change that force idle cell lrn to 0. I started it up and it behaved like a bad bin.

Is there a computed checksum somewhere that I have to update?

Sorry for interrupting but I did a search and came up here.

what are CCP's? I was scanning my car yesterday trying to find out why i'm getting such poor gas mileage. I noticed the EGR was at 100% (normal?) and I believe the CCP was at 30.
From what I gather 100% EGR is good. But I'm still lost on the CCP's.

Help?

As far as I know those numbers are Dury Cycles for the operating solenoids.

As you run larger and larger cams, you have more self egr'ing, due to the change is in overlap.

On the CCP, it's to some degree a vacuum leak, so you need to moderate it so that the ecm corrections can account for that. The amount of vacuum leak varies with the vapor content of the canister.
