Is this a waste of time...?

I have the items needed to convert my MAF vette to a SD. I have started burnning proms for the MAF. SHould I just not worry about learning/tunning thhis MAF deal, and move on to the SD setup and then start my learning?

In short am I wasteing my time learning the MAF tuning?

If you have all the parts to convert, then sure - just convert to SD.

If a person is "planning" on getting the parts for the conversion (say in a few months) then I do recommend they still start "eprom burning" with their MAF because they will have a "foundation" to work from when they start working with SD. The more you work with it, the more you learn.

But since you already have the parts to convert, then just jump in IMO.

I played until I saw that it was pointless, then I swapped. The swap took me less than a day, so I think I pretty much wasted my time tuning the MAF prior to the swap. It did get me more comfortable with tuning, and I did learn a decent amount though, so I guess it wasnt a total waste. You have to decide for yourself whether you want to play around and make it work, or make it work right.
