What does/did this police gizmo do?

I started tearing out the interior so I could get body pieces off so I can paint it. I got the rear quarter cover off and saw this. This is in the left rear quarter. Here's a close up. Here's a scanned picture. In case you can't read it, it says "FLASHBACK 55407 SOUND OFF, INC. Hudsonville, MI 49426 Patent no. 4859988

:hail: Thank you Deadbird!!! :hail: :hail:

Now, I just need to figure out what wires do what. I know the 2 spliced into the yellow wire go to the center brake light. The brown one goes to a switch. The green one is ground.

think twice about installing oscillating lights and strobes on your car unless you have a legitimate use for them. (i.e. firefighter, police officer, etc.)
