I switched from TPI to Carb and now my RPM tach doesnt work. I have a digital dash. I hooked up a probillet MSD distibutor to the MSD digital 6+ ignition box. For the Ignition box, I hooked up the dark pink wire that was in my harness to the ignition on the box. Also, there was grey wire and I do not know where that goes. I hooked up a green wire from the harness to my coil on the negative wire ( this is how it was on the TPI coil). I think that the grey wire that was connected to a plug on my TPI set up is causing the problem. Any Ideas??

 

Yeah... hook it up correctly and then it might work! Right next to the fat pink wire that comes out of the car's harness there should also be a small white wire that might also have a quick disconnect on it. That wire needs to go to the tach output of the ignition box.

Because TPI SUCKS at making horsepower. I bet ya YOUR first question after I race you will be " How the **** did he blow by me like that ?!?!?" lol

 

TPI is awesome at making Torque. Torque is what makes you go. Granted you need HP as well but TPI is more than capable in this area as well(good for up to 450HP with mods)Carburation is just a cheaper way of geting Hp but you loose drivability and not to mention emissions. I dont think I will be beat by you. I have quite a few mods not to mention 150hp NOS>
