Fans wont turn off, HELP

I wired my fans to my battery direct because I switched over to a carb. The fans are operated by a switch on my dash that I installed. Also, I put a temp sensor kit in the radiator hose so that I can adjust the temp I want the fans to turn on at, and they turn on automatically. I know my problem... I have to wire the fans to a "turn key" 12V source, not to the battery direct, but where is the easiest spot to wire them to. I already installed inline fuses to my fans (they are wired seperately). Keep in mind that I'm not running the TPI and most of those wires are all tied up under my fender. Thanks all

look in your fuse block for an IGN block. plugging anything in there will only come on or have power when the car is turning on

That may not be a good idea, and here is why. The stock fan setup 12 volt feed is not ignition controlled in the real sense of the word. The fans will only operate with the ignition on because the relay coils get thier power from key on 12. The reason is that the current the fans draw, especially when they first start is considerable. If you go to an ign. source on the fuse block you will probably overload the circuit. The best way would be to get a relay with about a 30A contact capability and wire it so that it energizes when the key is turned on. The only current the switched 12 volts will have to supply in that case would be to operate the relay and that would be minimal. Your feed can stay the way it is, directly to the batt.
