Does anyone know where the auto dimming mirror hooks to the fuse block on the mid 80's Camaros? It also has a single green wire that I suspect hooks to the drivers door pin switch to keep the mirror from moving when the light comes on when opening the driver door.
Thanks.

light green wire is to inhibit the mirror from dimming when the gear selector is in reverse. should also be a wire for ground, and one that is hot when the ignition switch is in the run position.
auto-dimming electrochromic mirrors are neat toys especially if you get one that displays compass and thermometer readings.

an interesting point. gentex manufactured the motorized autodimming mirrors for thirdgen f-bodies. gentex also supplied the same model motorized autodimming mirrors to ford for t-birds, aerostar vans, various lincoln models, etc.
ford mirrors go for cheap money on ebay, but as soon as the auction title contains an f-body reference (i.e. z28, iroc, camaro, etc.) the ending price of the auction is considerably more expensive and often exceeds $50.
