how do you change your brake light?
I tried to change it today but i couldn't get at it. How do you remove the rear tail light assembly? When I open my hatch there is light these little ***** on top of the lights and I tried to pop them off but they broke and there was no screw underthem. I could get the license plate light off, but not the rest. can somebody please help me!
After you take the interior trim panel off there should be some black wing nut kind of fasteners, they unscrew--once you get all of them off-maybe 6 per side-you should be able to pop off the rear lights. If it's a little stubborn just tap it w/something(carefully!)
Then just push in and twist the bulbs!

So I have to take the interior side out. This could be more complicated than I thought. My subs are right against it. In that picture above, is that the hatch motor? Do I have to take it out just to change one little brake light? I was looking for some screws on the out side like the old chevy pickups, all you would have to do is take out to screws and the whole tail light assembly comes off. this sounds a bit more complicated.

The hatch motor doesn't get touched, but yes the subs and interior back panel gets pulled.
Sorry, no little screws.
Enjoy
