Blew my guages and its not a fuse!!! HELP!!!

Blew my guages and its not a fuse!!! HELP!!!
I have a 1987 IROCZ and I disconnected the radar detector that had been wired into my fuse box. After I un hooked it the two wires (one of which is a ground wire) touched and then NO GUAGES!!! Checked the fuse and replaced the fuse and still nothing. Any ideas...help or suggestions PLEASE!!!
