Placement of MSD6A on 88 IROC

Ok guys,
Where is the best place to install the MSD 6A box in the engine compartment. I'm not using the MSD harness that makes it painless.
I have an 305 TPI and room seems to be tight in the engine area. I want to avoid the usual engine heat and moving parts. So where do you have yours installed. Thanks

Axle/Gears: Moser 9", Detroit Locker, 3.70

Do a search on "MSD" in the electronics section. There are a number of posts discussing this matter. The post entitled "MSD 6AL ?'s" has a picture of one mounted in the engine compartment.
